On Thursday 4^th July, 11 children from year 6 (Archie S, Hollie E, Ewan H, Abi F, Sam P, Izzy C, Danny W, Taya N, James P, Chloe W and Spencer W)  had the opportunity to take part in a Rounder’s tournament against 4 other schools: Eastwick, Greville, Raleigh and Dawnay. To get into the semi- finals we played Eastwick whom we beat 2 ½ to 3 ½ then Raleigh 0 to 2 ½. As we won both our games, we progressed into the semi-finals against Greville 3 ½ to 8 ½. After having won all our Rounder’s matches so far, we achieved a place in the finals against Dawnay; sadly, we lost 3 ½ to 2 ½ but still won 2^nd place. Everyone used great teamwork and amazing sportsmanship throughout the tournament which was greatly appreciated by Oakfield. We would like to say a special thank you to Mr and Mrs Cunningham for running the Rounder’s club and putting the great team together.
